OVERVIEW

Giv2 is a platform for Fundraising Groups and Charities to run campaigns for fund raising. Multiple charities can list on Giv2 platform and manage and run their campaigns.

For donors, they can directly donate to any of the campaigns / causes for any of the charities listed on the platform via the Giv2 web app itself via a simple scanning of QR code for charity and entering the amount to donate. This makes the donation to charities hassle free and seamless.

TECHNOLOGY

Giv2 Technology platform is based on VueJs for frontend and Firebase for Storage, Database and Deployment.

Giv2 founders wanted to build a platform which is frictionless and yet effective for both charities to run donation campaigns as well as for donor to be able to make micro donations easily by scanning a QR code. It was imperative that having separate mobile apps for iOS and android was not an option so as to lower the entry barrier for donation. To this end, our approach was to build a WebApp which works in browser for both iOS as well as Android and the user's can donate to the cause without any hassle.

To reduce the time to market as well as to avoid managing servers, our approach was to use Firebase for both hosting, deployment, storage as well as for Database.

For Startups Firebase presents as a very effective platform to quickly get off the ground and focus on the core product which is scalable right from the very beginning.
